Upon acquiring their new home, the Hiijazi family loved the space but found the pervasive brown tones and outdated materials didn’t suit their modern aesthetic. Tasked with transforming these spaces into a brighter and more contemporary haven, we embarked on a comprehensive renovation that touched the kitchen, great room, and bathroom.

Kitchen

Kitchen Overhaul

The kitchen overhaul began with the innovative addition of a new wall, cleverly designed to house a hidden pantry. This new space provided discreet storage for a small dishwashing drawer, mini-fridge, sink, and wall ovens, encapsulating the essentials out of sight yet easily accessible. The transformation continued with new cabinetry and flooring that introduced a warm, yet decidedly contemporary look. The cabinets, a sleek combination of grey and stained hickory, were meticulously matched to the porcelain wood-style floor tiles, marrying durability with style.

Great Room

Great Room Reimagined

The great room received a similar treatment. The 28–foot fireplace underwent a dramatic redesign, replacing its dated brick with a striking back Neolith frame that now serves as a stunning focal point. Adjacent cabinetry was refaced, and new shelves were added to enhance functionality while maintaining aesthetic flow from the kitchen.

A custom table extending from the kitchen peninsula to the great room further unified the spaces, facilitating a seamless transition ideal for entertaining and everyday living.

Bathroom

Staircase and Bathroom Upgrades

The staircase was revitalized with modern glass panels and grey-stained posts, extending the contemporary theme throughout the home. The main floor bathroom received a comparable update, elevating it to match the newfound brightness of the adjoining areas.
