Designed with Care
The Brodie family was passionate about the design process and came to us with a specific vision for their space - including paint colours, fixtures and a detailed presentation outlining what they had in mind. At the same time, they recognized the value of expertise and were looking for partners they could trust in bringing it to life. They wanted a more functional space with a classic, modern aesthetic that would flow and connect from space to space.
Family Kitchen
As a family who loved gathering with loved ones and friends, the kitchen was an important part of this project, needing to act as a central space suited for socializing and optimally designed for day-to-day activities. The space was opened up by removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room, and windows were added and relocated to increase natural light. Leathered granite countertops made for a unique touch, and an updated fireplace created a beautiful focal point in the dining area.
“The CLAY team worked with us to maintain the thoughtful, traditional touches of our home while adding modern finishes and a contemporary layout. Our kitchen is the heart of our home, and CLAY helped us create a space that suits our day-to-day life and acts as a gathering place for our friends and family. Our primary bath is truly an escape, especially in the colder months, with heated floors and a steam shower. Beyond these spaces, there were considerations extending throughout our home, like changes to doorways, windows and floors, and CLAY took care of all the details, looking beyond just the “four walls” of our renovation. I would recommend them to anyone considering a renovation project!”

It’s All In The Details
In addition to each room within the space and every individual component of the project, the CLAY team incorporated various finishing touches to complete the home with excellence. Dated glass blocks were removed between the bathrooms and staircase, and the opening to a back sunroom was updated to ensure it was more symmetrical. Lastly, the team added new kitchen windows flanking the range to beautifully reflect light and brighten the space.

Warm, Cozy Bathrooms
To complete the cohesive look and feel within the home, both the primary and ensuite bathrooms were updated as well. In order to ensure these spaces were an oasis, thoughtful touches like a steam enclosure shower and heated floors were added - and are appreciated in the cold winter months!
